摘要: Abstract The glass formation and stable liquid immiscibility region in the Y2O3Al2O3B2O3 (YAB) system has been determined. Infrared Raman spectra of YAB glasses indicate that, like La2O3Al2O3B2O3 (LAB) glasses, they consist (AlB2O6)∞ chains composed AlO4 tetrahedral BO3 triangular units. These are similar to those found lanthanide metaborates (LnB3O6) except that BO4 units have replaced by On devitrification, these yield YBO3 YAl3(BO3)4 whose structure bears no similarity related glasses. Glass attributed presence (AlB2O6∞ chains. molar volume (mv) transformation temperature (Tg) measured.
