摘要: Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) arising in the adductor compartment of thigh are frequently large before clinical detection, posing particular challenges with surgical resection and associated a high risk wound complications. This study compares oncological functional outcomes complications following treatment soft from three international centres different philosophies. 184 patients new primary, non-metastatic, deep STS diagnosed between 1990 2001 were identified centres9 local databases. The Toronto Extremity Salvage Score (TESS) was used to assess function patients. There 94 male 90 female patients, ages ranging 13 88 years (median age 57 years). period follow-up ranged 1 162 months. overall survival 65% at 5 related grade size tumour. no difference or systemic relapse centres. however significant control (28% LR centre compared 10% 2 5% 3, which appeared be principally use radiotherapy margins.) 66 (36%) developed post-operatively it shown tumours (>10cm). Functional scores averaged 78% but significantly worse for high-grade tumours; however, they not affected by timing prophylactic free muscle flaps. Conclusion series has that factors do vary across boundaries affect complications, recurrence function. Centralisation adjuvant like may have an important role improving control.
