Influence of aloe vera on the healing of dermal wounds in diabetic rats

摘要: The positive influence of Aloe vera, a tropical cactus, on the healing full-thickness wounds in diabetic rats is reported. Full-thickness excision/incision were created back rats, and treated either by topical application wound surface or oral administration vera gel to rat. Wound granulation tissues removed various days collagen, hexosamine, total protein DNA contents determined, addition rates contraction period epithelialization. Measurements tensile strength made treated/untreated incision wounds. results indicated that treatment may enhance process influencing phases such as inflammation, fibroplasia, collagen synthesis maturation, contraction. These effects be due reported hypoglycemic aloe gel.
