摘要: AbstractThis paper discusses a comprehensive study that is developing quantitative understanding of the acoustic emission (AE) signals emanate from fatigue cracks. Two critical components this are development transfer function quantifies and removes geometric effects measured AE waveform an experimental program monitors identifies occur during cylindrical stainless steel specimens under torsion. Typical waveforms collected torsional correlated with fracture mechanisms different stages testing. Three identified by characterization confirmed microscopic replica observation. The other portion demonstrates effectiveness using laser ultrasonic techniques to develop functions quantify remove waveforms.
