The Prevalence of Bisexual and Homosexual Orientation and Related Health Risks Among Adolescents in Northern Thailand

摘要: Homo- or bisexual (HB) adolescents may have greater and different health risks than the population of heterosexual adolescents. We assessed sexual orientation risk behaviors in 1,725 consenting 15- to 21-year-old vocational school students northern Thailand. Data were collected using audio-computer-assisted self-interviewing. Nine percent males 11.2% females identified themselves as homo- bisexual. HB had an earlier mean age at debut (14.7 years) a higher number lifetime partners (7.9) did (16.8 years 5.8 partners, respectively). (25.9%) (32.2%) sexually coerced more often (4.6%) (19.6%). Drug use was reported significantly frequently by less their counterparts. showed signs social isolation depression males. conclude that Thailand are Differential education messages for youth warranted.
