Effects of diet and/or exercise on the adipocytokine and inflammatory cytokine levels of postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes.

摘要: This study examined the independent and combined effects of diet exercise on adipocytokine inflammatory cytokines in postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes. Using a randomized, controlled design, 33 (age, 50-70 years) were assigned to alone (D), (EX), or + (D E) for 14 weeks. Before after interventions, blood samples adipocytokines markers drawn, meal test was performed, abdominal fat distribution measured by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Body weight decreased ∼4.5 ± 0.6 kg (P .05), no differences adiponectin tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) levels found. Visceral adipose tissue only predictors calculated insulin resistance < explaining 43% variability. A typically prescribed loss program lifestyle changes resulted few older diabetes, suggesting that dramatic clinical interventions are needed.
