摘要: The literature on the economic impact of sport tourism is largely dominated by studies events, with a smaller body work being dedicated to that active tourism. In this paper, four activities (golf, windsurfing, horse riding, and scuba diving) developed in Messinia, region south-western Greece, are studied compared terms their contribution local economy. Visitor expenditure surveys were conducted for each activity, yielding total 353 diaries questionnaires. Spending was then analysed (a) average expenditures, (b) distribution among different categories businesses, (c) geographical distribution. Moreover, tourists distinguished whether participation activity constituted primary motivation trip or not.
