摘要: In recent years, an increasing interest in the farming of marine ‘white’ fish, such as cod, has been observed aquaculture industry. One species being considered for development is whiting (Merlangius merlangus L.). With little data available on domestication this species, our study aimed to characterize spawning behaviour and rhythmicity captive broodstock provide original egg incubation, embryonic larval rearing. The results through video recording showed that mainly occurred at night with active courtship behaviour. Daily batches were collected from two separate seasons, average fertilization success declining 77% 53%. Time hatch was inversely related incubation temperature after 78 degree-days (9 days 8 °C), emerging larvae ranging size 3.3 3.46 mm total length 48.3% 99.9%. comparison a clear water environment, green regime during first rearing significantly improved growth survival. These are describe activity, early performances promising potential future aquaculture.
