摘要: Shapes are continuous objects, even when they drawn on digital media or composed using finite number of elements. As such, defy analytic approach; explicitization their parts, hierarchies, skeletons, centroids is ill-posed. I describe a novel approach to perceptually organize shapes and explicate features without being negligent nature. The basic construct an unusual phase field that can be conceived in varying ways mathematical machinery, so highlighting the itself rather than how it computed. Connections among field, Mumford-Shah Tari-Shah-Pien models, reaction-diffusion equation suggest may bridge low-level high-level visual processing.
