EMHD theory and observations of electron solitary waves in magnetotail plasmas

摘要: A new approach of electron magnetohydrodynamics (EMHD) is developed by including the anisotropy pressure tensor to take Biermann battery effect into account. Based on model, dispersion relation slow and fast magnetosonic modes are derived. Korteweg-de Vries equation then obtained from wave get a solution one-dimensional slow-mode soliton. Furthermore, according measurements Cluster Time History Events Macroscale Interactions during Substorms, we find good agreement between theory observations magnetic field depression perpendicular increase.
