Developing agent-based simulation models for social systems engineering studies: a novel framework and its application to modelling peacebuilding activities

摘要: When looking for a "what-if" analysis tool to support social systems engineering studies, agent-based modelling and simulation should be the method of choice. It is well-established studying human-centric systems. Developing such models, however, not an easy task, there much guidance around, that clearly explains how this done. In book chapter we present novel framework guide teams through process model development from conceptual design implementation. We borrow ideas software define more structured approach problem design. use illustrative example (international peacebuilding activities in South Sudan) demonstrate has been applied real world setting.
