Storage of biogenic amines in blood platelets and adrenal medulla. Lack of evidence for direct involvement of glycosaminoglycans.

摘要: In isolated 5-hydroxytryptamine organelles of platelets from rabbits, guinea pigs and rats as well in chromaffin granules bovine adrenal medulla, the molar ratios uronic acid/monoamines hexosamines/monoamines were general markedly less than one. Rabbits showed low 0.00075 0.015 respectively. pig ratio hexosamines/5-hydroxytryptamine dropped 0.65 to 0.05 if had been loaded with exogenous administered i.p. Whole rabbits a higher acid/5-hydroxytryptamine islated organelles. It is concluded that major part endogenous monoamines present storage cannot be directly bound anionic sites glycosaminoglycan chains.
