摘要: The progress made in the years 1983-1986 understanding character and operation of magnetospheric electric fields currents is discussed, with emphasis placed on connection interior regions. Special attention given to determinations global electric-field configurations, measurements response particle populations observations at high altitude during northward IMF. Global simulations current distributions are sources examined. topics discussed area impulsive small-scale phenomena include substorm systems, associated currents, field-aligned electrodynamics. A key finding these studies that interrelated cannot be viewed as separate entities.
