摘要: Six experiments were to test for estrus-associated odors in 1) swabs of the vulva and vestibule, 2) fluids from deep vagina, 3) naturally voided urine, 4) urine obtained bladder by catheter, 5) milk, 6) blood plasma. Tests with dogs trained identify vaginal estrous cows. In tests, walked along lines seven sample bottles consisting samples two cows, luteal-phase one swab cows used as a standard, blank bottles. Correct responses averaged 97, 86, 96, 99, 94% six listed. Incorrect 2, 1, 8%. Responses usually zero. Results indicate that associated estrus are spread throughout cow's body fluid.
