摘要: Of the proposed theoretical explanations for perpetration of sexual assault, Malamuth’s confluence theory remains most prominent. Further development this has incorporated alcohol use into original pathways impersonal sex and hostile masculinity. This study uses data from a nationwide online survey (n = 289) to examine relationship these three risk factors aggression using person-oriented methods, specifically latent profile analysis (LPA). Four statistically significant profiles were identified: low risk, moderate sex, high masculinity, on all risk. All groups with elevated reported increased levels aggression. Groups 3 4 highest levels. Implications intervention research are discussed.
