摘要: Abstract Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) is rich in bioactive compounds such as phenolics and anthocyanins with proven antioxidant activity in vitro in vivo. However, pomegranates are considered perishable commodities severe storability problems due to their sensitivity developing chilling injury symptoms when they stored at low temperatures. These manifested by skin browning, surface pitting desiccation accompanied increases electrolyte leakage leading quality losses reduced shelf-life. In this chapter, an overview of the incidence its possible minimization throughout appropriate post-harvest treatments provided, special emphasis on some innovative tools natural methyl jasmonate salicylate. enhanced content total arils along storage fruit phytochemicals increased health-beneficial properties consumers.
