摘要: Current diagnostic tools limit a clinician’s ability to discriminate between many possible causes of sensorineural hearing loss. This constraint leads the frequent diagnosis idiopathic condition, leaving patients without clear prognosis and only general treatment options. As first step toward developing new improving patient care, we report use liquid chromatography-tandem mass-spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) map proteome human perilymph. Using LC-MS/MS, analyzed four samples, two collected from with vestibular schwannoma (VS) undergoing cochlear implantation (CI). For each cohort, one sample contained pooled specimens five second specimen obtained single patient. Of 271 proteins identified high confidence among 71 were common in every sample, used conservatively define Comparison cerebrospinal fluid blood plasma, as well murine perilymph, showed significant similarity protein content across fluids; however, quantitative comparison was not possible. Fifteen candidate biomarkers VS by comparing CI samples. list will be future investigations targeted at discriminating tumors associated good versus poor hearing.
