摘要: Motivated by applications in subsurface CO2 sequestration, we investigate constrained optimal control problems with partially miscible two-phase flow porous media. The objective is, e.g., to maximize the amount of trapped an underground reservoir after a fixed period injection, where time-dependent injection rates multiple wells are used as parameters. We describe governing two-component Darcy PDE system and formulate problem. For discretization use variant BOX method, locally conservative control-volume FE method. timestep-wise Lagrangian problem is implemented functional toolbox Sundance, which part HPC software Trilinos. resulting MPI parallelized Sundance state adjoint solvers linked interior point optimization package IPOPT. Finally, present some numerical results heterogeneous model reservoir.
