Coronary vasospasm complicating atrial fibrillation ablation: a case report and review of the literature.

摘要: Radiofrequency ablation is one of the alternative treatment strategies in patients with atrial fibrillation. With increasing number such procedures being performed it important for physicians to be aware associated complications. We present a very rare case severe triple coronary vessel spasm during radiofrequency catheter ablation. The procedure was complicated by cardiac arrest secondary ventricular fibrillation and cardiogenic shock requiring subsequent management temporary mechanical circulatory support device. Multi-vessel life-threatening complication leading arrest. One should extra vigilant monitoring extensive ablations terminated at earliest signs ischemia order prevent this but fatal complication.
