摘要: 1. Single neuronal discharges in frog's vestibular nerve were recorded unanesthetized preparations with glass microelectrodes. The fibers supplying the horizontal semicircular canal are divided into two types according to characteristics of their frequency responses natural stimulation canal. afferent increase firing rate only on ipsilateral rotation and cease fire contralateral acceleration. efferent usually frequencies either direction or show an only. thresholds generally higher as compared fibers. In addition, most them multisensory convergence. 2. Of 65% showed adaptation response prolonged acceleration steps whereas 35% did not any sign decrease stimulation. 3. Thirty out 49 units a non-linear relation between angular acceleration; 19 approximately linear relationship was noted. both for range 0.3–2.5°/sec2. 4. The time constants majority measured about 3 sec 1 10 sec. It is suggested that having short velocity step input represent acceleration-sensitive those long monitor velocity. Apparent ‘time constants’ adopted units. These values decreased increased. 5. An approach modeling, based present experimental results, described Appendix.
