摘要: The control of cellular growth and proliferation is key to the maintenance homeostasis. Survival, proliferation, arrest are regulated, in part, by Growth Arrest Specific 6 (Gas6) through binding members TAM receptor tyrosine kinase family. Activation receptors leads downstream signaling common kinases, but exact mechanism within each context varies remains be completely elucidated. Deregulation family, due its central role mediating has been implicated multiple diseases. Axl was cloned as first a search for genes involved progression chronic acute-phase leukemia, since established playing critical cancer. oncogenic nature demonstrated activation pathways migration, inhibition apoptosis, therapeutic resistance. Despite recent discovery, significant progress made development effective clinical therapeutics targeting Axl. In order accurately define normal diseased processes, it must analyzed cell type-specific context.
