摘要: Unlike the predictive value of a diagnostic test, which depends on prevalence disease in population tested, its sensitivity and specificity have been assumed to be constants. This assumption was examined patients who had both exercise electrocardiography cardiac catheterization. The effects factors from clinical history, catheterization, performance were defined by multivariable logistic regression analysis 1,401 with coronary disease; similar 868 without disease. Five significant, independent electrocardiographic sensitivity: maximal heart rate, number diseased arteries, type angina, patient's age sex. Only rate effect specificity. Thus, vary extent disease, treadmill performance; other tests may also vary.
