摘要: In the last decade India has seen an increase in adoption of solar energy-based technologies by consumers, which been supported various government efforts and policies. The rural areas low-income households that lack a proper electricity supply have emerged as market for off-grid technologies, with private developers increasing their base slowly this group. This promulgated need to restructure decentralized energy sector. Existing literature points out suitability such markets; present study investigates challenges hindered its growth. reviews concept poverty respect sector analyzes methods determining poor access scenario. It emphasizes understand reconceptualize policy instruments order make powerful tool tackling demand providing adequate access. further explores causes disconnects how grid-independent is technological solution utmost relevance consonance idea sustainable development. For successful venture, both consumer behavior marketer objectives are important determinants. work also provides insights into models, tools, factors, social constructs affect perception subsequently demand. Over course study, it revealed players entrepreneurs tapping wrong market, leading misappropriation technologies. suggested improvements recommendations from analysis can serve guide makers, innovators, financial stakeholders.
