摘要: Forward genetic analysis is an unbiased approach for identifying genes essential to defined biological phenomena. When applied mice, it one of the most powerful methods facilitate understanding basis human biology and disease. The speed at which disease-causing mutations can be identified in mutagenized mice has been markedly increased by recent advances DNA sequencing technology. Creating analyzing mutant phenotypes may therefore become rate-limiting forward experimentation. We review its future context technological advances, particular massively parallel sequencing, induced pluripotent stem cells, haploid embryonic cells.
