摘要: Hierarchical carbon nanostructures have been produced and examined for their use in liquid filtration experiments. The are based on nanotube growth graphite oxide sponge deposition the surface of commercially available fibre fabrics. hierarchical nanomaterial construction fabric is made possible due to chemical vapour deposited nanotubes which act as anchoring sites solution nanomaterial. nanomaterials show a high capacity Rhodamine B filtration, with fibre—carbon nanotube—graphite showing filtering performance comparable commercial activated filter. After 40 successive filtrations 10 mg ml−1 solution, filtrate dual modified fabrics returned an increase transparency 94% when measured at approx. 550 nm compared 72% When normalised respect areal density filter, optical from reduces 65%. found deposit via nucleation, saturation mechanism.
