摘要: This study investigated whether binaural beat stimulation could accelerate the training outcome in an attentional blink (AB) task. The AB refers to lapse detecting a target T2 rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP) after identification of preceding T1. Binaural beats (BB) are assumed entrain neural oscillations and support cognitive function. Participants were assigned into two groups presented with BB sounds while performing task on three subsequent days cross-over design. Group A was 40-Hz during first day 16 Hz second day, order frequencies reversed B. No sound third day. MEG recordings confirmed strong entrainment gamma smaller 16-Hz BB. rhythm elicited 10-Hz occipital sensors which similar magnitude for both frequencies. performance did not increase within session. However, participants improved between sessions, overall improvement equal groups. more than In contrast, group B gained from 40 Hz Taken together, accelerates outcome. becomes evident immediately, but consolidation sleep. Therefore, auditory is promising method non-invasive brain enhancing learning well-suited rehabilitation training.
