Contractile Properties of Prostatic Strips in Different Histological Types of Obstructive Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy

摘要: Smooth muscle contraction was performed in vitro thirty-three patients proven to have prostatic obstruction order clarify the relationship of histology and contractility strips. The mean age 71 years (59-81), 16 presented with dysuria 17 urine retention. Phenylephrine (PE) norepine phrine (NE) (10-7 10-4 M) were used as alpha-adrenoceptor stimulation. Prazosin (10-10 10-7 selective alpha-1 antagonist inhibit histological examination classified according stoma/gland ratio degree inflammation. strips showed a concentration- dependent on PE NE. There no significant difference NE between prostatism retention; nor among prostates different size. strips: bladder neck smooth ＞ stroma predominant gland predominant. However, similarity did not correlate well parts same prostaic gland. result this study proves that prostate is rich alpha-adrenergic receptors will affect drugs. it should be careful interpretation strip experimental results since great might exist
