摘要: Abstract Response of an indigenous cyanobacterial strain ( Lyngbya putealis ) isolated from contaminated site to increasing levels copper and cobalt was investigated in single metal systems. This showed better response when the medium spiked with metal. As compared treatment, had more favorable effect. In systems (copper or cobalt), treatments positively effected growth as indicated by higher concentration primary accessory photosynthetic pigment (chlorophyll phycobiliproteins), biomass production at 0.5 mg/L M 0.5 that control 0 ). Exopolymer (exopolysaccharides extracellular proteins) too tended increase significantly both L. putealis found be maximum 2.0 . species also increased accumulation starch carbohydrates presence cobalt) 0.1 But overall for almost all studied parameters which show offered good protection against but sensitive cobalt.
