摘要: The cytomorphologic features in fine-needle aspiration (FNA) biopsies from 31 primary and 33 recurrent adenoid cystic carcinomas (ACC) were investigated. correct FNA diagnosis was established 24 of ACC (77%). diagnostic clue aspirates are large globules extracellular matrix, partially surrounded by basaloid tumor cells. In FNAs with predominance cells, but lacking characteristic globules, all other benign malignant salivary gland tumors epithelial-myoepithelial differentiation should be considered the cytologic diagnosis. Pleomorphic adenoma is most frequently confused ACC, therefore, findings 50 pleomorphic adenomas compared those diagnosed as ACC. Furthermore, rare neoplasms glands cell differentiation, including basal-cell carcinoma, polymorphous low-grade adenocarcinoma, well some nonsalivary presenting an pattern, must considered. these entities discussed detail respect to criteria
