摘要: Using data from the 1996 General Social Survey and 1973 Chicago Crowding Study, we test hypotheses that African Americans feel express more anger than whites, sense of control (versus powerlessness) lessens mistrust increases anger, these indicators alienation affect differently for whites. We find when age gender are controlled, neither nor despite having a lower average higher mistrust. This is partly because effects on differ by race. Sense reduces feelings expression Mistrust but not Americans. The results provide further evidence that, in stress process, social structural location may moderate “detriments” “resources” emotional upset.
