摘要: Neutron detection is an integral part of the global effort to prevent proliferation special nuclear material (SNM). Applications relying on neutron-detection technology range from traditional nonproliferation objectives, such as safeguarding and verifying stockpile reductions, interdiction SNM—a goal that has recently risen in priority a level par with missions. Large multinational programs targeting safeguards have deployed radiation-detection assets across globe. In parallel these deployments commercially available technology, significant research development been directed toward creation next-generation assets.
