McClainABSTRACTThe final acceptance, or rejection, of the Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-view Sensor (SeaWiFS) will be determinedby instrument's on-orbit operation. There is, however, an extensive set laboratory measurements de-scribing operating characteristics radiometer. Many requirements in Ocean Color DataMission (OCDM) specifications can checked only by measurements. Here, calibration reviewpanel (composed authors this technical memorandum) examines characterization andcalibration SeaWiFS light OCDM performance specifications. Overall, theSeaWiFS instrument meets exceeds Contract all but a few unimportantdetails. The detailed results examination are presented here following outline specifications,as found Contract. form requirement compliance pairs. Theseresults give conclusions on many, not all, acceptance panel ofthe must considered as intermediate conclusion. ultimate acceptance(or rejection) data rely made orbit.
