摘要: A computer simulation model for the contact between longitudinally-oriented rough surfaces has been formulated. This closely duplicates actual surf ace deformation behavior by taking into account elastic interactions asperities. There were no assumptions made about shapes, or any of asperities, except their obeying laws elasticity. The plastic deformations on high asperity peaks taken setting a ceiling pressures at material hardness value. simulations used real surface profiles which digitized from unworn circumferentially ground steel surfaces. Each pair these was mathematically combined to form an equivalent profile pressing against infinitely rigid flat and having appropriately adjusted modulus. total 28 different pairs in simulations. contacting subjected 30 load levels local c...
