摘要: To assist in the identification of inner heart structures during ultrasonic cardiac diagnosis, various liquids have been injected through catheters into chambers. Each injection produces a cloud echoes within blood‐filled catheterized chamber. An experimental procedure involving fluids test chamber under controlled hydrostatic pressure has shown that cavitation is primary source these echoes. Acoustic impedance difference between fluid and blood can contribute to echo production but insignificant for commonly used normal conditions. Turbulence resulting from produced no detectable [This work was supported part by grant National Institutes Health.]
