摘要: The recolonising wolf Canis lupus population has created conflicts in Scandinavia, and it will eventually be necessary to control numbers if the continues grow. One mechanism for this is hunting. Under what circumstances Swedish public support hunting of wolves? We examined question general three stakeholder groups: all hunters, living areas with populations hunters areas. A majority four groups found acceptable hunt wolves reduce risk livestock depredation (53–91%), had been coming into populated (54–86%). However, about one fifth was neutral any justification, so an extreme or a well-publicised event could alter current levels support. did not merely because people were afraid them (22–46%), compete humans game (11–45%). justified threat dogs area, but even find appropriate justification. Our study shows importance surveying as well develop sound conservation management plans rebounding large carnivores such wolves.
