摘要: We have studied the kinetics of solubilization oil through a temperature jump into droplet microemulsion phase in system water-pentaethylene oxide dodecyl ether-decane at 25 C. The initial state is formed by subjecting equilibrium C to quench 22, 20, and 14 C, respectively. At this lower temperature, which corresponds two-phase system, droplets form grow size with increasing time. By varying time between T-jump, drops varied systematic known way relaxation study. process monitored following turbidity system. find that for all systems back equlibrium much faster than drop growth observed after quench. This general observation explained realizing redissolution analogous transfer phase, experiment occurs prior Ostwald ripening phase. More significant we qualitative transition behavior when aggregate distribution varied. In cases same overall composition one population many small fewer larger drops. only affects quantitative way. If are slightly smaller size, equilibration diffusion molecules bulk When sufficiently small, new kinetic route available where there an efficient direct large allows fast two populations
