摘要: Abstract The gamma-ray shielding properties for the xPbO‧50B2O3‧(50-x)V2O5 glass systems (where x varied between 20 and 49 mol%) were investigated. photon attenuation factors determined using Phy-X/PSD software to evaluate influence of PbO on radiation ability glass. mass coefficient (MAC) increased with addition PbO. We discussed effects photoelectric effect, Compton scattering pair production MAC values at different energy regions. highest half value layer (HVL) investigated borovanadate glasses was reported 284 keV lie within range 0.5067 0.931 cm. sample containing content (49 mol%) had lowest HVL, which indicates that it is most effective shield among tested glasses. tenth (TVL) results revealed improved when percentage from 49 mol%. least TVL samples 49 mol% 1.682 cm at 2.432 cm at 347 keV.
