Abstract Aim To report of mixed neuralgic and dental pain to discuss the possible pathophysiological background. Summary A coexistent in distribution trigeminal nerve is presented, endodontic neurological treatments are described. The diagnostic correlations discussed. Key learning points • Pre-trigeminal atypical neuralgias amongst differential diagnoses acute pain. • In patient with nonodontogenic pain, simultaneous same area could be overlooked. • Dentists should consider origin as explanation for burning, lancinating or pain. In such cases, an appropriate medical specialist consulted.
