摘要: Abstract During phonation, human vocal fold tissues are subjected to combined tension, compression and shear loadings modes from small large finite strains. Their mechanical behaviour is however still not well understood. Herein, we complete the existing database of these soft tissues, by characterising, for first time, cyclic strains lamina propria vocalis layers under loading modes. To minimise inter or intra-individual variability, particular attention was paid subject each tissue sample successively three loadings. A non-linear observed all : a J-shape strain stiffening in longitudinal tension transverse compression, albeit far less pronounced shear, stress accommodation hysteresis whatever mode. In addition, recorded levels during much higher than vocalis. Conversely, responses as shears same orders magnitude. We also highlight rate sensitivity their anisotropic properties.
