摘要: Eight polymorphic microsatellite loci were analysed in six population samples from four locations of the Australian endemic brown tiger prawn, Penaeus esculentus. Tests Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium generally accord with expectations, only one locus, two samples, showing significant deviations. Three taken different years Exmouth Gulf. These showed no heterogeneity, and it was concluded that they a single panmictic population. A sample Shark Bay, also on west coast Australia, barely detectable differentiation Gulf (F (ST) = 0 to 0.0014). northeast Carpentaria low 0.008) but Moreton east coast. However, Gulf/Shark Bay well differentiated Carpentaria/Moreton 0.047-0.063). The data do not fit simple isolation by distance model. It is postulated east-west largely reflects populations occurred at last glacial maximum when there land bridge between north-eastern Australia New Guinea.
