Laboratory study of sorting processes related to flow separation

摘要: The sorting processes responsible for the development of bedding in cross-bedded deposits were studied a small laboratory flume. Flow separation over foreset slope deposit is primary factor dispersion and various grain sizes. Important include selective transport due to differential settling velocity, pulsatory movement particles, dispersive pressure. bedded structure characteristically reflects segregation sizes that occurs along topset (backset) deposit. reworking by fluid turbulence causes variations fabric packing may accentuate definition structure.
