摘要: Cancer stem cells (CSC) represent the subpopulation of within a tumour showing two fundamental properties - self-renewal (the ability to make more their own kind) and differentiation generate diverse cell types present tissue). The CSC hypothesis posits that CSCs play an important role in initiation, maintenance progression. Furthermore, owing intrinsic drug resistance, they remain refractory currently used therapy, thereby contributing relapse. Thus, targeting or taming can lead effective cancer treatment coming decades. In this review, we will discuss about origin hypothesis, evidence existence, clinical relevance translational significance.
