摘要: Abstract Background and purpose : The pathophysiology of cerebral aneurysms (CA) is linked to chronic inflammation. Endothelial damage one the first changes in CA walls resulted from It has been shown that increase plasma homocysteine (Hcy) impairs vascular endothelium correlates with development atherosclerosis. However, effect hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) on formation aneurysm remains unknown. Methods Male Sprague–Dawley rats examined for developing after surgical induction presence absence hypercysteinemia induced by a high l -methionine diet (1 g/kg/d). Aneurysms developed at anterior cerebral–olfactory artery bifurcation were classified as 4 stages no abnormality saccular aneurysm. Plasma levels expression endothelial growth factor (VEGF), nitric oxide synthase (eNOS), inducible (iNOS), matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2), MMP-9 aneurysmal was correlated 3 months surgery. Results Methionine significantly increased levels, accelerates ligation left common carotid artery. Expression VEGF, iNOS, MMP-2, also methionine treatment. Conclusion Hyperhomocysteinemia formation, potentially through differential effects molecules critical wall modeling rat model.
