摘要: The fluxes of ozone and NOx out the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) over Europe are calculated in a mesoscale chemical transport model (MCT) compared with net production or destruction emissions precursors within ABL for two 10 days' periods which had quite different synoptic situations levels photochemical activity (1–10 July 1991 (JUL91) 26 October–4 November 1994 (ON94)). Over European continent, about 8% were brought from to free troposphere as NOx, while 15% NOy–NOx, i.e. PAN HNO3. convection dominates scale vertical advection mechanism both NOy summertime high pressure situation (JUL91), fall (ON94) convective part was be smallest. almost completely transformed NOy–NOx removed ABL. Also major cycle is confined JUL91 ON94. time order 100h total domain continent. exchange not dominant process amount averaged days whole domain, but reduces maximum concentration episodes significantly. producing efficiency increase height typically 15–20 upper half around 5 ABL, middle often too low cause formation there.
