摘要: This article explores the effects of workers' compensation on fatality rates and wages using 1982 Panel Study Income Dynamics new occupational data issued by National Institute for Occupational Safety Health. The rate depends upon benefit variables in a manner that suggest safety incentive higher insurance premiums offset any moral hazard effect. estimates imply absence compensation, would increase over 20%. Premium levels substantially overstate cost due primarily to direct wage from benefits. An indirect resulting decrease risk caused augments effects. is relatively small, equalling about 10% total.
