Detection of environment pollution by measuring chloroplast delayed light emission

摘要: Delayed light emission (DLE), which mostly produced from chioroplast, can be an indicator of plant living ability. We have proved that environment stress reduce the intensity DLE. Our prior experimental results showed there exists a linear relationship between DLE and chloroplast concentration in certain range. Plant chloroplast's energy is sensitive to environmental stress. Considering close we directly detected pollution by measuring with imaging system, consists tungsten lamp excitation source, ICCD digital camera, controller computer. Instrumental parameters (optical time, optical source power, exposure time) were adjusted independently optimize measurements. Computer through collected all data. All images analyzed WINVIEW software. This experiments conducted leaves treated model acid rain (vitriol, pH 5.0) exposed moderately elevated troposphere sulfur dioxide demonstrated could inspected sensitively when less than five zero sensitively. It was also indicated cause direct damage reducing photosynthetic activity partial stomata closure other mechanics.
