摘要: The mechanisms underlying predisposition to alcohol abuse and alcoholism are poorly understood. In this study, we evaluated the role of cannabinoid (CB1) receptors in (i) voluntary consumption, (ii) acute alcohol-induced dopamine (DA) release nucleus accumbens, using mice that lack CB1 receptor gene (CB1-/-). CB1-/- exhibited dramatically reduced completely lacked DA as compared wild-type mice. gender difference, with female consuming significantly more than male mice, was observed whereas difference nonexistent mutant There also a significant wild-type, heterozygous, females liquid food heterozygous males. However, total volume fluid consumption intake did not differ between These results strongly suggest system plays an important regulating positive reinforcing properties alcohol.
