摘要: The modification of pristine wildlife habitats by land use is a worldwide cause species extinction, as most native cannot persist at high levels human intensity. In this study, we gathered 90 lists local interactions between herbivorous insects and their host plants to investigate the effects intensity on richness taxonomic diversity insect herbivore assemblages. effect these assemblages was assessed using path analysis that controlled for differences in plant richness, sampling effort, range herbivores. We included proportion exotic models evaluate extent which mediated replacement with plants. Overall, found negative assemblages, were an increase species. Since for, our findings imply impoverishment due even greater than loss plant. A likely implication such reduction accelerated specialized plant-herbivore interactions, thus favoring among generalist biotic homogenization across human-disturbed habitats.
