摘要: Recent studies have demonstrated altered visual processing of stimuli in the proximal region hand. It has been challenging to characterize range and nature these differences. In our attempt deconstruct factors giving rise Hand-Proximity Effects (HPEs), we manipulated organization items a search display. two experiments, observed absence HPE. Specifically, Experiment 1, presented display only one half monitor (split diagonally), which could be either near or far from hand placed on corner monitor. The results Bayesian analysis showed that efficiency was not significantly different for neither ‘near’ nor ‘far’ condition when compared with baseline rested lap. 2, arranged horizontally across A RTs did vary depending proximity target as well (lap) condition. present features HPE reported previously are line recent reports failure replicate under various circumstances.
