摘要: Palm oil mill effluent (POME) was pretreated to remove suspended solids and residual oil. The processes used were flocculation, solvent extraction, adsorption membrane separation. Flocculation solids, extraction Membrane separation subsequently applied any remaining after the pretreatments. operated on a batch basis whereas performed in continuous mode. treatment efficiency of measured as percentage removal respectively. optimum values process parameters obtained flocculation an alum dosage 4000 mg dm−3, mixing speed 150 rpm for 1 h sedimentation time 270 min, resulting 93% removal. In process, 95% reduction using n-hexane with 20 min at 200 rpm. ratio POME 6:10 carried out pH 9. 88% 100 h, 9 adsorbent 300 g dm−3. processes, GH CE(GH) membranes gave 63% 49% reductions respectively pressure 1000 kPa.
